Learn to surf in Bali With Ripcurl School of Surf
Experience the thrill of surfing in Bali and learn what it's like to ride a wave. Join Bali's leading surf school and receive expert and safe tuition from our professional surfing instructors. With three classes daily, modular surf lessons can be arranged to suit your holiday in Bali, and cover beginner, intermediate and advanced levels with guaranteed results. We also offer private surf lessons at all levels and can provide surf guides for exclusive surf trips to some of Bali's best breaks.

LESSON

Beginner Course
Class 1, 2.5 hrs tuition
Classes at 8 am, 10.30 am, 2 pm, depending on tides and wave conditions:
A beginner’s course as an introduction to surfing. The lesson includes stretching exercises, learning the board, reading ocean conditions, catching waves, the jump-up, accelerating and safely stopping. Includes hotel transfers, use of school surfboard, helmet and rash shirt, Rip Curl Certificate of Surfing, sunscreen and bottled water.

Intermediate Course
Classes 2 and 3, 5 hrs tuition (includes lunch)
Classes at 8 am, 10.30 am, 2 pm, depending on tides and wave conditions:
Two essential courses for those who want to get to grips with the basics of surfing. In Classes 2 and 3, we teach you paddling techniques, paddling out, through and over waves, board control, making forehand and backhand turns, paddling on to waves and an introduction to the knowledge of wave mechanics.

Advanced Course
Classes 4 to 6, 7.5 hrs tuition (includes lunch)
Classes at 8 am, 10.30 am, 2 pm, depending on tides and wave conditions:
Move up to advanced level surfing techniques and learn how to make turns, transitions, generate speed and the correct setup for surfing larger waves. Also teaches you everything you need to know about conditions and surf etiquette. This is all the preparation you'll need to surf the reefs.

Reef Trip
Classes 7 to 10, 12.5 hrs tuition (includes lunch)
Classes held at 8 am, 10.30 am, 2 pm, depending on tides and wave conditions.
Take yourself and your surfing to a higher level. Reef breaks, short boards - outer reef surfing made easy. Comprehensive explanations of reef geography, tuition in take off and pull out techniques, bottom turns, duck dives and the defining moment of surfing, the cut back. Big waves, road trips and life lessons, master it all.

Elite Course
Classes 11 to 15, 12.5 hrs tuition (includes lunch)
Classes held at 8 am, 10.30 am, 2 pm, depending on tides and wave conditions.
Take your surfing to the highest level and learn how to perform maneuvers like re-enters, floaters and round house cut backs. Learn more about surf fitness and survival. These classes are directly derived from competitive surfing drills.

Private Lesson
By appointment. Max two persons per class,
(50% charge for the second student.)
Pick the class you need, one on one tuition with your choice of our instructors. We will tailor your lesson to best suit your requirements. Tuition from the best for the best results. Lesson times are flexible to fit your schedule, but will depend on tide and weather conditions.

Kids' Classes (mini private)
Maximum 4 children per class.
For kids under the age of 12 yrs old; those who might find our regular courses a little long and dare we say boring. We have developed a special format taken from our grown up curriculum, but simplified and more fun for the kids to enjoy.

EQUIPMENT

Board
We have a selection of fiberglass construction surfboards, shaped for quick progression and for maximum safety. We use special safety helmets designed for surfing to ensure students are protected at all times. We also provide towels, high quality imported sunscreen and zinc cream free of charge for all students.
If you're thinking of buying a board, we carry a selection of different shapes and board brands to help you make an informed decision on buying the right board.

Clothing
For lessons, you need:
Long board shorts with a tie waist. Voucher or payment (all major credit cards accepted). Sunglasses and/or hat

We provide towels, showers, changing rooms and locker facilities at both our surf centres, where we also carry the latest range of Rip Curl surf wear and other essentials. We provide high quality imported sunscreen and zinc cream free of charge for all students.

STUFF

Class Time
The Rip Curl School Of Surf offers comprehensive lessons covering all aspects of surfing. From beginner to advanced level, our courses are detailed and informative. Included in the course is essential safety information and knowledge of the ocean and its behaviours. Our full curriculum comprises 15 modular lessons, all of which can be arranged at times to suit your schedule. Classes last 2.5 hours and are held every day at the following times: 8.00 am. 10.30 am and 2.00 pm. Schedules may change depending on tide and wave conditions.

Extras
In addition to lessons, we offer surf guiding services around Bali and surrounding islands.
Please enquire about our special corporate packages and rates, family specials, board and equipment rental.
All students receive a 10% discount on shop items, including the latest Rip Curl items.
All school activities are covered by a US$100,000 insurance policy.
All course include air-conditioned hotel transfers, use of school surfboards, surf shorts, helmets and rash shirts, course study books, certification of surfing levels, sunscreen and bottled water. Lunch and t-shirts are included in package deals of two or more lessons.

The Rip Curl Of Surf will provide with :
