Arma Villa
Agung Rai Museum of Art (ARMA) was completed in 27 December 1989 and was officially opened on 9 June 1996 by Prof. Dr-Ing Wardiman Djojonegoro the Minister of Education & Culture of The Republic Indonesia and ARMA is the realized dream of its founder Agung Rai.
It is founded on principles that reflect his philosophy, which is one that includes an intense love for art and, even more so, for the preservation of art for the purpose of sharing it with the community.
ARMA resort officially established in 1982 with 15 rooms under the name "Puri Indah" which mean Beautiful Palace. In 1995 Puri Indah change into "Kokokan Hotel". In 2002 change into "ARMA Resort" with additional 8 luxury villas. The total accomodation become 23 units.
The ARMA resort was built as the fund raising for the museum. Therefore your contribution and supports highly appreciated for the art and culture preservation programme under ARMA Foundation.

This exceptional Bali Hotel in the beautiful upcountry cultural village of UBUD is located on the extensive grounds of the Agung Rai Museum of Art (ARMA).
ARMA RESORT offers beautiful, comfortable accommodations in a serene and lush environment. Proximity to the ARMA Museum and the ARMA Foundation Theater, Dance, and Music programs provides a unique cultural and artistic atmosphere.
Set amidst 10 acres (4 hectares) of landscaped gardens and fountains, the handsome rooms and luxurious newly built villas are elegantly decorated with fine Balinese furnishings, offering both style and comfort.
In this secluded haven your privacy and peace are enhanced by the surrounding tropical palm forest, age-old rice fields, and the soothing sounds of the river that flows through this delightful Bali vacation resort.
ARMA Resort hopes to provide its guests with a cultural framework to their visit to Bali and to Ubud, Bali’s “art” capitol.
There is free admission to the Agung Rai Museum of Art, right here inside this unusual resort, where you can view the superb collection of both traditional Balinese painting and other contemporary works of art.
Also part of the ARMA Resort complex is OPEN STAGE, an outdoor theater where Balinese classical dance and music are frequently performed.
Classes for young students in Balinese dance, music, and drawing are provided free of charge by the ARMA Foundation on the resort grounds and they are open to visits by our guests.
