Kuta and Legian Beach is the most popular point not only surfing but also many hotels, shopping center and long beach. There are a lot of good place for a casual tourist. The condition of wave is not so good. Easy to close out.

It is about 6km northwest from Legian, but easy to find because of some signpost. There are three points to surf around here. Mostly, it is offshore in the morning, but turns onshore in the afternoon.
The seaside water is polluted a little. The stink comes from living waste, I think.

The best place in Nusa Dua is Point A
The point is about 200m outside the golf links. There are some charter boats to go outside the reef. (One way Rp.5,000 / Both ways Rp.10,000)
The wave is only right break but so good that it makes tubes. Inside, under the white water is very danger because there are many sea urchins and sharp corals. I recommend to put on boots for beginners.
It is said , it is offshore in November to February, but in fact, it is changeable. You had better to check tide table at some surfshops or bars. incidentally, I met a dozen of sharks here, around break points.
If it is too big to surf at Point A, check Point B or C.

It was a secret point in many years ago. Now it is a major point in Bali, but the way to the point is still not easy.
To go to Uluwatu, you should park your car at the temple (Rp.500), then charter a motorcycle. (Rp.10,000 both ways) Next, you walk down the staircase and the ladder. Here you reach a small beach, and paddle out.
The shape of the wave is, as you know, perfect left.
You can check the size of another point from the entrance of Uluwatu temple.

Sanur and its adjoining reefs are best surfed during the wet season (November to April), because west winds here blow offshore, while dry month trades blow dead onshore.

On the way to Uluwatu, you see a signboard to Padang-Padang. Turn right of the crossing, go at the end of the road, then here is Padang-Padang.
You can get a powerful left break but easy to on the rock. For beginners, you should get out at right point or Binjin point. The wave size is smaller than Uluwatu.

Enter the restaurant, five minute before Uluwatu parking, and go down the cliff 15 minutes. One merit of this point is the superb view. Weak points of this area are strong current and wind, many sea urchins and shallow bottom.
